SANYO Semiconductor Co., Ltd. has developed "SPI NOR low voltage serial Flash memory, LE25FS406 series" which is capable of performing all Flash memory functions with only 1.8V single voltage (1.65V (min.)) power supply. Sample shipment is planned to start in March 2010.
By using "LE25FS406 series", you don't need to prepare power supply voltage which will be specialized for Flash memory. Common power supply with other 1.8V parts like DDR2 SDRAM can be used. It promises to achieve low power consumption, reduction of print board area and cost down of your products.

Product Main Features
- Broad range of power supply voltage from 1.65V to 2.1V
SANYO's improvement of low voltage circuits enables broad range of power supply voltage from 1.65V to 2.1V and 1.8V single voltage use. Customers can use common power supply with other parts like DDR2 SDRAM. Reduction of power supply voltages causes reduction of regulators and power lines. It contributes to achieving lower power consumption, reduction of print board area and total cost reduction of your products. - Compatibility of pin assignment and command set with previous serial Flash
SPI NOR low voltage (1.8V) serial Flash memory has compatibility of pin assignment and command set with previous 3.0V and 2.5V single voltage products. Customers can use same print board and software as previous products. - 4M bit memory density
Memory density of 4M bit is prepared, which is now widely used as serial Flash. Also 1M bit and 2M bit products will be developed upon request from customers.
